Ingredients

All-purpose flour

Baking powder

salt

Shortening
3/4
cup
Milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 400F.
Grease a baking sheet.
Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until a fine crumb texture.
Stir in milk to make a soft dough.
Knead 10 times.
Roll out to 1/2-3/4" thickness.
Cut into rounds with a cookie or biscuit cutter.
Place on baking sheet and let rest 5 minutes
Bake 12-15 minutes and serve warm.
Notes
Optional - add 1/2 - 1 cup of fun things like aged cheddar, bacon, sliced jalapenos, pitted olives, cranberries, etc.
