Fruit Puree
1 cup chopped fruit, hulled/pitted goes into a saucepan.
Put over medium heat, reduce to half the volume.
Mash through a strainer, and let it cool to room temperature.
Puree fruit, run through strainer (espe blackberries)
make like normal, add puree at end
Frosting
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1.5 cups powdered sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1 pack cream cheese (8 oz)
1/2 cup pureed fruit
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until the sugar is fully incorporated.
Beat in the cream cheese.
Add everything else and beat it into thoroughly mixed.
If this is too thick (no such thing), you can add a splash of heavy whipping cream, and mix well.
If this is too thin, add a tablespoon of powdered sugar, and mix well.
