Keto Cinnamon Pretzels (Fat Head Dough) – Butter Together Kitchen
I made a batch of this yesterday (2022-08-05) which looked fine, but I’d be happy to never eat those again. It wasn’t “bad” per se, it just wasn’t good.
After giving myself a day to reflect on what happened, here are my thoughts: the fathead dough at that thickness was way too dry, and reminded me of a bland, unsweetened cake donut… so there is potential. I tried cutting them in half and dipping them in melted butter, which was not quite as good as slapping on an awesome layer of cream cheese and dipping those into the bowl of cinnamon-sugar. I think the best salvage was a small bowl with ricotta cheese, I cubed one of the small pretzels, and threw in a bunch of the cinnamon-sugar mix. I know the carb count became high, but shrunk down to a 3-4 bite treat and 3 net grams, pretty good.
I need to fix the base recipe, I’ll test it again next month, and update the post.
